On February 13, 2026, the National Congress of Ukrainians in Moldova, with the participation of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Moldova, organized a business meeting at the Ukrainian House in Chisinau with the support of Nova Post. Representatives of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Moldova and Romania, representatives of the Economic Cooperation Department of the Embassy of Ukraine in Moldova took part in the dialogue with representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises. Its purpose was to develop cooperation, exchange experience, and create new opportunities for entrepreneurs from both countries.
Economic cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine continues to develop despite existing regional challenges. In recent years, Moldova has seen an increase in the presence of small and medium-sized enterprises established by Ukrainian entrepreneurs, which contributes to the development of services, logistics, trade, and creative industries, as well as the strengthening of business relations between the two countries. Ukraine is one of Moldova's main trading partners, accounting for approximately 11% of the country's total foreign trade.
During the meeting, participants discussed current opportunities for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, the specifics of doing business in Moldova, as well as tools for supporting and scaling projects. Particular attention was paid to the development of entrepreneurial competencies and the exchange of practical experience.
At the end of the meeting, an initiative to create a business school for entrepreneurs was presented. The program will focus on developing practical business skills, understanding the regulatory environment, using modern sales and promotion tools, and expanding business contacts.
“The development of entrepreneurship and open dialogue between the business communities of Moldova and Ukraine create new opportunities for economic growth, cooperation, and sustainable partnerships. Such meetings contribute to the pooling of experience, ideas, and resources for the implementation of joint projects,” emphasized Dmitry Lekarcev, Chairman of the NCUM.
